Hmmm, I'm torn. I hate remakes with a passion.
There are so many other amazing Philip K. Dick short stories that haven't yet been made into movies, they could have done one of them instead.

Producers and directors try to replace Arnold at their peril - never works, didn't work in Conan remake and undoubtedly won't work here either.....

Schwarzenegger has such larger than life x-factor no body comes close and comparisons are inevitablly negative making such attempts largely flops.

It looks interesting but replacing Arnie is a big ask.

I agree with Simon, there are so many brilliant sci-fi stories out there just waiting to be made in a movie, so why rehash something that has already been done.

Just a few PKD books I'd like to see made into movies before a remake of "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" :
"Clans of the Alphane Moon"
"The Zap Gun"
"Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said"
"Now Wait for Last Year"

This one is rumoured to be "in development' by The Halcyon Company, which did the Terminator movies.

Wasn't Inception just a remake of Total Recall?

Que? Looking forward to this remake. The CGI looks great and it's action packed.

When I watched Inception, I was disappointed, it just seemed almost the exact same concept as Total Recall, even the ending felt the same and you saw it coming a mile off.

There is an interesting article on the remake here:

Now wait for last year would be fantastic, I read that book in one sitting, so in my head I remember it as if it was a film.
