NUStar launch soon

Sort of soon, thought it would be a good idea to give some warning.

This is a very important mission.

Funny how I missed it....these days, you just have to blink, and a new telescope is built without you realizing it.

There is just so much new multi-wavelength data available, and there are so many new surveys being done.

For instance, just in the Far-infrared and sub-mm and mm regimes, there are over half a dozen newish instruments looking at star-formation regions at resolutions that will enable star formation to be understood in great detail.

The thing is, that so many of these surveys are done, and sometimes there are only half-hearted attempts to look at the data....for example, in the GALEX far-UV data, a number of the objects that I found were so strange that this prompted professional astronomers to have another look at the results of the survey!

cheers, robert
