Free to whoever wants them are these battery boxes previously used as the backup power source for a PABX.
They are currently fitted with 4 x 33Ah 12V batteries, and the connector matrix shown on the internal right hand side configures it up as a 48V nominal system. This is then fed through a circuit breaker between the battery bank and the output connector on the right hand side.
You could re-configure the internal wiring to give 4 paralleled batteries in a 12v system, or a single larger battery with an internal charger, replace the output connector with a cigarette lighter socket etc etc. Blank canvas, do with them as you wish.
Heavy metal case with a removable lid, has raised feet so the batteries are not sitting directly on the floor. Have previously modified another unit with heavy duty wheels on the feet to allow easier moving (note neither of these two have wheels on the feet).
The batteries are well beyond their useful life, most likely I will hand them to the scrap merchants.
Free to anybody who wants to collect one or both from the Melbourne Northern suburbs, or may be able to arrange a meet somewhere as I am out and about in the burbs most weeks.
PM or phone me on 0407 487-480 if you want any other info or want one.
Just repeating the batteries are no good, and will probably be at the scrap merchant very soon.
