114 Table-Top Dobbie Rich Field Telescope (RFT)

~:~
Hello all,
-:-

I'm selling my freshly Hybridised Tasco 114 Table-Top Dobbie.
-:-
The Dob mount is made from 12mm Exterior Grade plywood and painted with Bondall Moncell Marine Grade Varnish. Azimuth bearings are Teflon and textured laminate, and the Altitude bearings PVC and Teflon. Both the PVC and laminate have been waxed and the motion of the Alt. and Az. bearings is very smooth.
-:-
The Underside of the Ground Board has non-marking plastic tipped Feet. The Centre Bolt of the Ground Board has a Nyloc nut to regulate the "squeeze" between the Rocker Box and the Ground Board.
-:-
The Altitude Bearings have been designed to allow the use of any sized eyepiece and not create a balance issue. You can swap between a Tiny eyepiece and a Big Bugger and the OTA does not tip from the weight change.
-:-
The OTA is a Tasco 114X500, with 1.25" focuser and adjustable Red Dot Finder. Both the Secondary and Primary mirrors are Fully Collimateable. Both mirrors are in excellent condition, with the Primary having being Center Spotted for optimal collimation purposes. The tube of the OTA does have some marks from its previous incarnation, but these are cosmetic.
-:-
This is purely an RFT (Rich Field Telescope). Views through this little scope are lovely. Makes for an ideal Grab'n'Go scope.
-:-
Comes with a 25mm Plossl and a 10mm MA pair of eyepieces
-:-
Asking for $220, neg.. Scope is located in Sydney. Can be freighted but at purchaser's expense.
-:X:-

I've replied, Susy, .

From another inquiry I've had, I can look at making a dob mount for you if you have an existing OTA. The way I make these mounts, the OTA is able to be readily removed from the dob craddle and used on your other mounts - no alterations are done to the OTA.

This is no commercial venture, so I hope I haven't crossed any terms of use issues. If so, mods. please let me know.

What a wonderful project Alexander!!

Hey Suzy, are you going to downgrade? If this is the case what about that yammy Stellarvue finderscope of yours? I guess it will not fit properly on your new equipment
