Venus Transit from Son's School, Bray Park, QLD

These shots of the transit were taken at my Son's school, Bray Park, QLD. The Baader filtered Dob was used to take the images and students who had permission were allowed to view through this scope. The 80mm refractor was used to project the image onto white card and the Transit of Venus Solarscope provided great results.

All up we just managed to get the whole school through the scopes.

Brilliant weather for a spectacular event. I am a little sad it is over for another 105 years. The students had a great day.

It was great weather for it, wasn't it Stu! I took my scope in to my kids' school and projected an image as well, and gave nearly 200 grade 4s and 5s a good look. Lots of very interested kids amongst them!

Nice set of images as well.

Cheers,
Stephen
