Way to go Ron! Good to see you cranking up the C8 and observatory. Is there a bit of dust in the image train though? Some extra spots?

Who cares about reducer - I think a lot of us would have been happier to get in closer if we easily could. Top shot.

Yes there was some dust, doesn't show up when you are looking through the eyepiece though

Wes, I counted 19 sunspots through my eyepiece.

Thinking about it , Your higher mag and resolution would account for them all.

Good one Ron.

I tossed up using the C8 and Baader, or the 127ED and TO glass, and the ED won. You definitely need a FR with a C8 to fit the sun or moon on an APS-C chip like our a200s.

If I take my glasses off all I can see is Venus on the face of the Sun.

Thanks Andrew, there was a FR on sale a little while ago on Ice Trades,
Missed it by that much
