I have tomorrow off, so the kids we be dropped off at school at 7:30am, even though their schools dont start until 8:45am....lol....just kidding.

I am hoping for some clearing here too, I cant really go anywhere so it looks like I will have to wait until the sun clears the double storey house next door, by that stage I am hoping cleewwwwwdssssss disaaaappppeeeeaaarrrrr.....

Everything is crossed, even my eyes.

Cheers

Chris

Here in Mt Kuring-Gai it is completely overcast, with wind gusts around 90 km/h
and we are currently experiencing a blackout.

Excellent. The wind is gusting so hard here that your clear skies
at Cronulla can't be too far away for us.

Hard to believe it is so different from just one side of the city to the other
at the moment. It is still raining here.

Hehe, after a 40 min nap she's up again. Two hours sleep so far tonight for me. Charlotte's brother will be up in another two hours. I might struggle to stay awake during the transit.

Yeah, I finally fell asleep at 3:30am with a loungroom full of gear and a completely overcast sky with light drizzle.

Woke at 6:30am with the full moon on one horizon and the full sun on the other!

The clouds did roll in but we got to see first and second contact.

The skies cleared over Melbourne at 7.55am but have now clouded over (at about 10am) but still 1 hour 45mins is better than nothing. Managed to get three perspectives. Had the 8 inch set up with solar filter at the park across the road for first contact for an hour then went home and chucked on the solar glasses and just for fun projected the image onto some card using 7x50 binos.
