First Moon pic through modified Scope

Finally completed modifications to SK II to bring the focal point within my DSLR focal plane. Had to shift the mirror up about 10 mm. I was worried that it might cause other cutoff problems etc but looks like the secondary is on the big size and it all fits nicely within. Collimated quick and then tried it outside on the moon just sitting in the DOB mount.

Quite pleased now because I can now get the scope mounted onto the EQ6 in the Observatory and try some serious ( well, sort of !! ) imaging.

Konica Minolta Dynax 7D ISO 100 1/500 sec. Only minor sharpening done and this is a reduced pic to meet IIS limits. Full image up on Astrobin.

I'm impressed the modifications that you are doing Brent to bring the DSLR into focus on your dob. The image is excellent can certainly handle the extra resolution on the Astrobin site.
