Just a quick capture of Centauris A under heavily polluted skies. Composed of 10x4min subs @ 800iso. Equipment: 550d unmodded, EQ6 Pro and 8" newton.

Added is an example of one 4min sub to show the light pollution, and what I had to work with.

Thanks for looking.

Hi Daniel, you seemed to have executed this image very well, Guiding, exposures & focus, Tho I'm questioning myself about the level of Noise left in the Final ? it is showing great detail for the scope & camera you have used with it, a fine capture in deed all the same . .
Good show with the oridginal as well , ,

Hey thanks Bob, thanks for the kind words. I think its just a Canon 550D thing, reading all the reviews "after" buying the cam and everyone's the same. Not to worry, I had a average reading of 35 degrees on the sensor temp so yeah I guess you could say it was a little warmish. But the images it produces keep me at bay, when the kids grow up(hence 40 mins haha) and I move away from the spot light ill buy a cooled ccd.

Thanks for the comment, and ill keep at this dslr for now anyway JJJ sets a high standard for me to chase with her 550d.

Nicely done considering the conditions you have to deal with.
Are you taking flats?

Thank you jjj.No I have had all sorts of problems with taking darks and flats. I end up having to change the raw to tiff every session because I end up with strange results. For example lines through the image and other similar results.
