I've just sold my outer-suburban house with it's nice dark little RO obs, and am preparing to build new home closer to the city (Hello LP!). The new place won't be ready till end of the year, so it will be probably 12 months before I get a new obs ready.
I've decided it's better to give my major imaging stuff a new home rather than store them to gather dust and whatever. I'll replace them with new ones when I get back into things next year.
All items are in western Brisbane, and I will deliver free to any convenient point (1 hour) in that area. I'm not interested in packing and shipping at this time. All items are in very good condition and fully operational. Great entry/mid-level equipment for budding Astrophotographers.
1 - SOLD - GSO RC-8" f/8 sexy black Carbon Fibre OTA astrograph w/M-LRC focuser, as new condition - $950 delivered in Brisbane.
Newest model with Carbon Fibre (C.F.) tube!*, good baffling, L-MC focusser and extension tubes, Vixen style 1.75" wide dovetail at top and a Losmandy "D" style 3" wide dovetail plate at bottom, still in original packing case. 2 - SOLD - Skywatcher 8" f5 (1000mm FL) Black Diamond Newt OTA - $150 delivered in Brisbane. Vixen-style mount, only a couple of minor cosmetic blemishes, about 4 years old, and I'll also throw in a Toucam-style planetary camera for free, to get started. A great entry-level imaging scope. Produces stunning pics and lightweight enough for an EQ5. Have used with Canon 1000d, QHY8, 8 Pro and QHY 9, with no mods needed, just get the correct extension tubes. A great scope. 3 - SOLD - EQ6 Pro complete with FTDI Serial to USB adaptor cable, Synscan controller, Losmandy and Vixen style heads- $1100 delivered in Brisbane. Direct USB connection to PC for ASCOM control with XP or Win7. - Bought new, approx 3 years ago, Black colour, Hypertuned by me and works very well. Minor scratches on side plastic covers, but no major cosmetic marks. Includes hand controller, tripod, extension bar and weights, etc. Only ever used in my home Obs.
