Celestron Ultima LX 8mm

Hi all,

Impulsive buy, two month old Celestron Ultima LX 8mm.

* 70degree FOV
* 16mm eye relief
* Twist up eye cup
* Rubber wrapped triangular body - very easy to handle in the cold
* Fits both 2" and 1.25" focusers. Comes with locking screw if the locking screw of your 1.25" focuser does not fit the slot in the 2" barrel
* Comes complete with its original lens caps and box

Celestron's adaptation of the LVW design, with a wider FOV. My first view of Eta Carina with it had me exclaim "WOW!".

Bought on impluse new from Andrews, but doesn't have a real place in my kit, . Very beefy EP that gives very nice image and is comfortable to use - one of the most comfortable EPs I've ever used. I really like it, but it is the odd-man-out in my kit.

Asking $180 including standard postage to quickly find a new home for this fellow.

Second and third pictures below show the eyecup retracted and fully extended. The twist action is nice and firm that won't give when you push your eye onto it, nor leave a greasy residue like some other eyepieces.
