Taking photos with a Dob

I have a 10 inch Bintel dob with 15mm and 9mm Fully Multi-coated Plossl Eyepieces (1.25") 26mm Wide View Eyepiece (2"). I have a standard digtal camers 6.1 megapixel (non SLR) . I have been taking pics by holding the camera to the scope . What can i buy to hold the camera to the scope and to connect the camera directly to the eyepiece.

Fantastic Moonage Peter.
You should turn your scope to Saturn, set the camera to capture in movie mode, zoom in, focus and capture some Saturnal goodness.
The video is easily processed in Registax to create a single image.
Afocal imaging is great fun and it's amazing what you can capture.

You can probably get these at a lot of different places or on ebay etc but see if that's what you mean

i have a celestron one that looks the same as these, i can mount both my olympus compact and my cannon dslr(without the lense).fits over different sized eyepieces as well.

Looking at the photo i can't work out how the device is secured to the dobsonian telescope? does it clamp on the body of the scope?

If your camera is a bridge camera, it may have a filter thread you can use to make an adapter so you can fit a nosepiece.
There's plenty of other ways to make an adapter if it is a compact point and shoot camera.
I made one from a piece of vacuum cleaner tube and some elastic bands

That's the one I purchased when I got my 8" Dob. Works quite well. The octagon looking bit clamps onto the eyepiece and your camera screws into the mounting area.

It works well with my Point & Shoot and would have worked will with my DSLR if I had a lens that would fit to the camera whilst it was on that mount thing.
