Crescent Venus

I had my Celestron 6SE out yesterday for a trial run on viewing and photographing the upcoming transit next month.
After a successful viewing session of the sun through my Baader AstroSolar filter, the session was curtailed when the sun dropped behind my neighbours house.
On a whim, I performed a GoTo to Venus.
WOW!
A silver sliver against a pale blue backdrop.

Single exposure of 1/250 second ISO 200 at prime focus. Canon 600D.
Minor post processing to restore the blue sky.
