Melbourne - you can blame me!

You can blame me!

A newly modded DSLR, thanks to a generous member, and a cheapy scope with solar filter for the transit. Both arrived this week.

Also a backyard deck I finally have a free weekend to work on.

No wonder it's raining today

Niko

I bought my scope home 6 weeks ago, maybe more.... STILL no first light because of this ENDLESS MULTI-WEEK PERMANENT FULL OVERCAST TRIPE and REPEATED 0/10 CRAP seeing.

Tonight. The forecast actually looks good for tonight. On op of that, no jetstream. Too good to be true?

Well no, we are owed not one, but a bakers dozen of clear perfect seeing nights ontop of this monkey crap that we had to endure.

I think it has just all arrived at my place.

Would you like me to send it back.

no no no! Satpic is disheartening, the southern ocean is still vomiting cloud at us, only hope is that it thins out later in the day. Have the car keys ready to go to Dan Murphys just in case.

That's the plan! Combine it with a bit of junk food and TV and bob's yer uncle
