Orion Solar filter

Hi all,

Does anyone have any solar images taken with the Orion Solar Filter - ED80mm & 100mm Refractor from Bintel?

https://www.bintelshop.com.au/Images/Stock/9096X.jpg

If so are these ideal for photography as well as Visual?

Looks like a pretty standard glass solar filter.
Should be OK for visual and imaging...
(I have the JMB type, very similar and that works well)

I haven't used it for a while ( I changed over to the Baader Solar Film and Herschel wedges) but from memory the image was a pale salmon pink.....

I have one, it's an yellow touch orange if that makes any sense, I also own another older one from Astro Optical branded Identi View, paler in colour more white with a tinge of yellow..

I found as far as white light viewing of the Sun is concerned, the only way to go is with a Herschel Wedge filter, Lunt have a beauty, the detail with them is amazing compared to the others.

Cheers

Dennis
