Perigee Full moon over Stradbroke Island + Disc + Halo

Hi all. Here's a compilation video taken of the Moon rising over North Stradbroke Island viewed from Cleveland Point in Brisbane. EOS 600D, 30mm, 200mm, 85mm.

http://youtu.be/gD-7FA5m4Hg

Later on in the evening I got the scope out and got a full disc shot, and when it clouded over I captured a halo around the Moon on video (Spica and Saturn visible to the left).

Thanks for looking ,

Tom

Also a "Star Trails" image of the rise, and the setup used.

Great videos too Tom, but I'd suggest setting the playback speed a bit faster - maybe 24fps.

These two seemed quite slow and would've been better sped up imo.

I really like that star trail one, very dramatic. And a bit weird.

Thanks everyone. Mike, I thought my video was too fast!

I've added some images based on the videos to the first post.

Cheers,

Tom

Fantastic halo Tom. Its been years since I've seen a great halo like this... luck of the draw.

Cheers
