M8 Lagoon Nebula

M8 Lagoon Nebula (I think)

Saxon ED100, modded Canon 1100D
8x10sec @ ISO-800
Stacked in DSS, processed in CS5.
no darks/flats/bias

Was all set up for the night till the clouds rolled in early.
So only managed to get total 120sec, more data would have been nice

You got half a Lagoon . But by the sounds of it, you were lucky to get that.
Your focus is excellent!
It's a good region to experiment with framing. You should be able to fit M20 into the same field of view as M8. They look great together.

I was actually looking for M20 not M8 lol. Spent about 1/2 an hour looking for it in the wrong spot untill i found something lol.
Set up the scope let it go, came back inside for a ciggie, went back out to check, saw it wasnt centered properly. Went to center it then the clouds rolled in
