Dear all, I have been away for last few weeks without the possibility to access this forum but I see that it is very lively and as usual with lots of world class images! I eventually have found some time to contribute with a couple of new images.
The first target is a large planetary nebula that was discovered in 2004 by Quentin Parker, David Frew and Mark Pierce during the SuperCOSMOS H-alpha Survey. It is characterised by a thin faint almost perfectly annular ring with a brighter limb to the north, a structure that is the result of the planetary nebula starting to interact with the ISM. This target located in Monoceros has a very low surface brightness and more than 10 hours on the only Ha was barely enough to show something. Larger apertures would produce much better results

The second target is a more known object even if not so often imaged, the area around Stock 16 and RCW 75 in Centaurus. Here there was much more signal to deal with so the image is less noisy than the former one

Both are HaRGB images from Coona, details are on the page.
Hope you will like them, best is to see them at full resolution (option "O" in the website)
I imaged RCW 75 recently with the FSQ106, so much wider field, and Ha only. I pondered whether I should add colour, and looking at your very fine image, I might go back and do just that.
I especially like the second image - the colours visible are wonderful. "Grazie mille" for sharing these images.
Mario
"Grazie a te" (thank you) Mario!

Hi Paul, thanks. I too prefer the planetary image, despite being more stretched, its shape and the colorful background make the image more appealing than the other..

Do you have your own observatory there or do you rent the scope there?
Greg.
Hi Greg, thanks. Yes, I have my own observatory down there, Peter at Warrumbungle observatory is hosting it in his property and provides on-site support. Look <a href:"http://www.tenbyobservatory.com/">here</a> or contact me in PM if you want more details..

Hi Martin, yes, you should, that area is quite inetresting.. well you should add colors to all your last Ha images IMO, they all worth it
