That is a 5.0 v power suppy so it won't be suitable but there are suitable 12 volt supplies from the same source also Jaycar have a good line in regulated 12 v supplies at reasonable prices.

I have used these cheap supplies on many of the small meade, celeston skywatcher etc type telescopes

That won't work, or it will work barely, or it will blow up...
Anyway, the one you linked is a 5v DC with 3amps.
You need a plug pack that will do 12v DC and at least 750mA (.75 amp).

So something like this will work:

Yep cool. So plugging into a mains at home you can just one of these adapters? How come you can buy big boxes to plug into the wall at home like the 12v regulated supply that Bintel sell?

So I can use one of them 20 buck adapters and that's it to plug it into my mains at home? I have seen these regulated power supply for wall methods that bintel sell, what are these?
