Next Scope?

Would this be a good scope for an advanced amateur?

Well, it's getting great customer reviews. You might want to try before you buy. I'm not sure how portable this scope would be. You might consider putting it on a dob mount for a bit more grab-n-go.

I don't know Steve. I reacon it's got to be the ultimate portable scope. Give it the right goto commands from the laptop and it will literally goto where ever you want it to.

And just think, the mirror is aways at ambient -273 deg (In the shade that is)

hmmmmm, i would miss the jetstream a tad, i mean it is like a wife, she nags the hell out of you, but when she goes away, you feel a little empty.

also if you smack the tube in frustration, you could end up sailing away into the sun!

Gee, I knew NASA were having hard economic times, but I never knew they'd been bought by the Chinese.

Considering I'm not into astrophotography I have to ask which eyepieces would work best in that scope?

I'd hold on for a while because I've heard a rumour that in a few years they'll be giving it away, pick up only though

And wasn't there a rumour about a problem with the mirror or something?
