Thanks guys

.
It was shot with a Canon EOS 600D with 15-85mm lens. I used the Magic Lantern firmware which enabled a few features. In this case it allowed me to shoot Full HD video at 4 frames/sec at a max exposure of 1/4sec. The video plays back at 24 frames/sec so it plays back actually 6x faster not 7x like I said at the start. The camera recorded 78mins worth of travel time as a 13min video. The file size was 3.3Gb and I ran out of card space as I already had family pics on the card I didn't want to delete.

I reduced the bitrate by 0.8x the standard recording to save on file size. (In my planetary images I up the bitrate to 1.4x Canon's default).
As for battery life the battery was fully charged and the indicator is only now flashing after replaying it on the camera a few times. I would say it is good to record 90mins. Magic Lantern has battery saving options so the live view dims after 1 min and turns off after 5 min (or any other combo you like).
The firmware also allows for "continuous" recording of videos greater than 4Gb by simply restarting recording after each 4Gb is reached.
