30 seconds at an all girl party.

As you know Venus joined the girls (Seven Sisters) for a party last night.
A beautiful sight to see Venus amongst The Pleiades, so I set up my scope from early hoping to get some shots.

Well the party didn't last too long, clouds rolled in and spoiled it all just as I was starting.
Anyway I managed to get 30 seconds worth of data.

This was the result, taken through the TOA 130 (handheld ) using the 5D MkII at ISO 3200 and stacking 30 x 1 sec frames.

I've also included a labeled version.

Oh well at least it was fun setting up the gear again.

Thanks for looking.
Andrew

Thanks Bart, although it was tongue in cheek, I had the scope on a mount, I have a hard enough time putting the 5" refractor in the Tak rings, let alone handholding it for a shot.

That's a beautiful presentation.

The stars are like jewels offset against the silky smooth background sky.

Nothing but clouds here. Again.
