A few feathered vistors.

Just thought I'd share a few of the birds we get in the garden here, most of which I had never seen before moving to Europe. The pics are taken through a double glazed sliding door so a little processing has been done, well a lot really.
Probably too much.

The first couple of pics are of an Hoopoe, a curious a pretty bird which migrates up from Africa. It was around for a couple of days but that was it so it must of been just a stop off to relax and eat. The pics(or the photographer) don't do it's colours justice.

The second pic is a nice little Pied Wagtail. I enjoyed watching that one, again though it didn't hang around.

Next is a Pheasant, it's a very impressive bird with great colouring. Hard to get pictures of as it's very alert but I guess that's what happens when your so tasty. We actually had a nesting pair with at least 6 juveniles at one point in the yard too which made it interesting when heading down the back.

Also a couple of Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers, I believe this one is a Parent and a Juvenile.

And finally a family of Great Tits, I quite like that last picture. It's a shame the noise doesn't come through.

I have a few more I can post later on too.
