3/4/12 Pleiades/Venus Conjunction and Mars, Jupiter, Saturn

My efforts from last night. The Venus/Pleiades image is at 200mm f/3.2 (10x 0.8sec @ISO6400) and the planet images are with the 12" Dobsonian manually tracked. All shots done with the Canon EOS 600D. The Great Red Spot is just appearing on the upper right limb of Jupiter.

Here is a video of Venus last night as well, at focal lengths of 640mm, 1500mm and 7500mm, as it drifted through the field.

Thanks for looking

Tom

Excellent stuff Tom,Saturn is crisp and clear and your Venus-M45 shot is great. It's amazing how an astrophoto looks at the blue hour, blue background, no noise, it's like a painting!
