Help please, loaner QHY8 what do I capture with?

Hi All,

Well, I am back from Mudgee but I have wasted 3 hours of clear sky trying to get some capture program to work with Poita's QHY8 as the drivers on the disks have all things like Astrowin, CCDCap, Astro Art etc and nothing wants to detect the camera.

I have removed the QHY8 drivers as it said in the manual and installed the Astrosoft ones, but no joy so far....

The camera connects and collects data in Nebulosity (with the QHY8 Drivers loaded) OK, but I cannot save the data without the "trial" version vertical bars which aint no good to me.

I dont want to spend $40-$80 on Nebulosity just to try out this camera.....can anyone suggest something that will work before it gets too late and I lose another good night to equipment malfunction (or operator stupidity, take your pick)?

Hi Chris just download ezcap from here --->>> http://www.qhyccd.com/download.html
You will need the QHY8 drivers installed but they are there to download too.
Have fun getting some data
