Not much I know...

... compared to numerous others here vastly superior to mine, I'm showing these only to show what can be done if you are patient and have a fair idea...

Mars and Saturn, shot with a compact camera (yes, a compact) - handheld. These are single shots straight out of the camera.

The scope is a 7" f/15 Mak at 330X on an altaz mount - with no tracking either, just manually pushed. Admittedly the mount is a good one, vibration is very absent and the seeing here in Sydney tonight was exceptionally steady.

Great results for Saturn and Mars. Thanks for showing these - the colours have been recorded very nicely.

20 years ago images like that would have taken hours to achieve. Makes you think.
