LOL The weather can't get much worse can it?
We're expecting 6-8 inches of rain in the next 24 hours.

the indian ocean oscillation index means that a steady stream of moisture laiden air will be streaming across the country from west to east - lol much like it is now for the rest of the year. i am booking those two weeks in advance that they will be clear

I might run up a few water proof scope covers to sell on camp. Could have made a small fortune the year before last. LOL

Last year HRH couldn't get leave, hopefully this year we can make it.

@ jjj Perhaps you should take the machine and whip some up on site through the day.....

Grady, Strong (only the chinese would come up with a name like that) make a cheap set top box with USB that sells for around $50 and can take a USB HDD and record from the program guide. It also doubles as a media player. I run it with a Seagate 500G non powered USB drive to minimise power use.

Has anyone heard if registration is open for Astrofest 2012 yet? and if so who would be the best contact so I can make a reservation?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Anthony

The site will be updated and registration will be opening soon. I expect that Houghy will again be hovering over the "Register" button.

If anyone notices any errors on the site once this year's updates go live in the next day or so, please feel free to let me know.

Would love to attend - never been to a star party before, so why not

Somehow i doubt ill be able to get time off work though. Might have to limit it to the weekend, which doesn't leave a lot of time.
