[SOLD] QHY8 and bits

For Sale: a QHY8 6MP one-shot-colour CCD. Packed in an aluminium case, it includes a heating collar, power supply, cables etc. This camera has worked flawlessly for me for 18 months. It has low noise and often, I can escape without darks etc.
A$800 would be aboiut right I guess. Postage extra.

Is this a good step up from an unmodded dslr?

G'day Dan. The difference is chalk-and-cheese.
Of course you can't take baby pictures with it. But hell, that's why we have mobile phones isn't it?

It is a massive step up from an unmoved DSLR, great sensitivity, very Ha sensitive, and as said, almost zero noise due to the sensor and cooling. I basically never bother with taking darks as there is just no noise to remove.
This is a great buy at the price, they are a blinder of a camera.
