Thanks. Al it really is amazing what you can see with the 100mm of aperture.I know this is not a cheap scope but it was definitely worth it.

Such fine details in there - the inverted images tend to give so much more depth - do you have the 'standard' images for comparison?

Matt my camera actually captures in negative. For an example I have attached a collage I joined in Picasa then exported into Picnik ,resized ,sharpened a little used some levels to increase contrast then invrted it to get the positive.

Peter it's a GSTAREX video camera which has whats called an occulting function which when applied blacks out the Solar disc so just the Prominences are visible . However if you increase the shutter speed you can see both surface detail(in negative) and prominences dimmed slightly(in positive). I used this feature with my Daystar 60mm Ha scope mainly for prominences but it wasn't till I used it on the 100mm Lunt with a 2.4 Extender combined with a 2x Barlow that I really got the live view I was looking for.
