Omega C - quick shot

Hi all,

My scope has been back at the shop for cleaning/servicing , the mount too, in fact between multiple visits to the workshops and bad wx I have got no imaging in since mid Jan, grrrr.

I got all my bits back just yestersay so I wanted to test them out, here is the result, this is the best of a series of 30s shots at ISO 800, focus and dark frame subtraction with IP2.75 and then re-sized and jpeg'ed in PS.

To keep things simple and so I could spend more time actually looking through the scope I did not do a polar alignment (carry and plonk method only!) and did not guide. I think it is ok again now so I did a quick imaging run to verify.

I am now waiting on my little guidescope to arrive (2-3 weeks away) and I will have a fully working system (finally!)

Lots of dots there! Glad your bits are working, and the scope is fine!
