Vixen DX Apochromatic Barlow

Hi all,

Does anyone have any advice on the Vixen 1.25 Barlow from myastroshop? The televue barlow is about the same price ($180) or any advice on Vixen EPs generally?
Thanks

Dan

Well, it's an apo, whille the televue is an achro. But with barlows it does not matter all that much afaik. On EPs, all I can say is that the Vixen LVW 22mm is brilliant for fast scopes. It's probably the best of all the Vixens.

Thanks Janoskiss,

I was also curious about the quality of the Vixen LV eyepieces compared to the televue possl as both are around the $150 mark. I was after some general 'all rounder' EPs. But thought that the first on my list would be a nice Barlow. If not the Vixen, can anyone recommend anything else in the $150-200 bracket.

Thanks

Re LVs: Some love them some don't care for them all that much. I'm one of the latter. Re barlows: Antares 1.6x 2" is pretty damn good. I ordered mine from scopestuff.com. Add a 2" barrel extension to turn it into a 2x, or 4" for 2.4x.
