Two more Ha shots

Well those two shots are back from the grave as I was hoping to complement with some more data and by the look of it with all this rain it's not going to happen for a little while but here it is anyway. Taken the same two days I did the Rosette. A little noisy as a result and a bit of a challenge to process.

The cone nebula 12x300s. Large version here.

and around Vela remnants, only managed 4x300s on this one before the clouds rolled in. Large version here also.

Thanks for looking.

Two pleasing shots Marc considering the challenging conditions.

I especially like the cone nebula. They will look great when you get more data.

The moon is a harsh mistress, but at least you are getting some sky

Nice shots, Marc. I also laboured on a similar Cone nebula Ha shot recently but frustrated by clouds. It's a great field to photograph.

Very good Marc. Puts a lot of scopes to shame.

Greg.

Thanks Greg. It's not a bad scope at all actually and the sharpest I have so now I must pay closer attention to a few little things such as my guiding and camera alignment.
