Again a stunning result AsiJohn

I'm really impressed by the image scale and how it holds the detail

It was rather 'washed out' from; I assume that rotten full moon close by so I did have to add a bit more contrast than usual, Joshua

Thanks JJJ

Thanks Ken. it was shot @ F30 but resized up 140% in Registax. It still held ok @ 160% but looks a bit sharper at this scale. Can't wait for excellent seeing again so I can go to 200%

Thanks Rolf & Trevor. The nights takings were a bit jet/low level effected Trevor, so with this I captured a full 6 mins @ 60FPS/fast exposure/high gain & then had to be somewhat brutal on the % rating that went into the stack. Came up ok with a bit of mucking around I guess.

Superbly processed image John. the detail is great too. Was interesting to see that dark line surrounding the NPC in the live view.

Was down at Clayton again myself last night. Seeing was pretty aweful first but but improved dramatically for around 10 minutes at the meridian crossing. Mind you it was blowing quite hard and even the PME had trouble keeping the Mars on the sensor. If I get something similar to this I will be very happy. I noticed that I was able to capture at 49fps in red, 42 in green and 39 in blue last night. Fully illuminated disk really makes for faster captures.
