PST Sun,

I thought I would share my attempt of yesterdays Sun. It's not as good as an image produced by Sheeny, but I have a little bit more to go in terms of developing my skill set. This is a composite image where I have over exposed the disk to image the filaments and also exposed to get the surface details and then combined the two. What I also did was invert the surface image, this seems to make the entire disk less contrasty..

I think this is the most I will get out of my little PST and I will have to look into a nice Lunt once I finishing paying off bubs in 25 years time or so.

There's a lot that can be done with the humble PST - I'm sure your results will improve with even more experience and practise.

It would mean meeting me in the blue mountains for drop off and pickup at some point, but I am up there every fortnight or so. I'd be interested in how much it would improve imaging, if at all.

I dare to controvert. There's so much more that can be done even without a modified PST. Just keep on practising, this will pay off eventually (with bigger equipment, in 25 years )
