Mars 23 February 2012 1436 UT

This image of Mars showns Olympus Mon rotating out of view with lots of cloud just in front of it. Elysium mons can be seen in the left side of the image. Overall pretty pleased with the image and I am using a masking technique to reduce the edge artifact a little.

Seeing was around 6.5 overall.

Thats still nice detail caught with cloud and showing an less ringing, thought you would get better seeing given Trevor's result but shows how local seeing can be.

John.

John.

Being 600km away does often provide very different seeing conditions. I had good seeing on Wednesday morning which differed from Trevor's site. Conditions look good again tonight, so I might make my way down there again before the rain strikes again.

Looking good Paul, hope this trend of improving seeing continues. This image is just before I started, Mars rose about another 4 degrees from this and I think the seeing improved as that happened, at least up here.

Well done

Trevor

Another very nice image Paul, with good detail on the NPC and with the clouds.

Good luck with the seeing tonight.

This was about the best of the seeing here. There is other data I will eventually make my way through, but I think it is all consistently the same. Down at the house now at 1030 and hoping that this heat does not make for bad seeing. Scope is at ambient and waiting for Mars to get high enough to start for the night.

Thanks guys for all the comments, much appreciated.

Rob good seeing makes good images. Besides your images show the same detail as mine.
