To be honest David I had not noticed the yellow highlights until you mentioned them. That's the beauty if a fresh perspective on things I guess. Thanks for pointing it out. They actually do look bad to me now. I'll have a go at correcting it.

I have used IR film in the past and found it fun to use.
Just curious though about the filter transmission on the digital camera.
There are lots of graphs that show poor transmission in the Ha region for digital cameras and this is why people go to the effort of modding their cameras for astrophotography. I assumed that all radiation below ~6570A was blocked by the internal filter. You seem to have plenty of light getting through the IR filter.
Does this mean that the internal camera filter does let through IR?
Thank you so much Ric, Bart and Terry I'm glad you all like it. Terry- I'll be honest and say that I'm really not sure about the technical aspect of IR filters and mods. My limited knowledge is that an unmodded camera does let in bit of IR but some cameras are better than others. When I say they let in a little bit of light I really do mean little. I needed a 30 second exposure for this sceen in bright daylight. If you have a modded camera you could do the same in a fraction of a second.
