Omega Centauri

Hi All,

Really long night last night, failed to capture Eros again due to sync learning. I will get it one day maybe not tonight.

Any managed 2 last night/early morning - Tarantula Nebula and this thread Omega Centauri. I really like this object for a 480mm scope came out quite well.

Opinion most welcome.

Imaging Stats
Canon 450D unmodded
30 Lights @ 90 sec
No Darks - My library does not have 90 second dark taken
23 Flats
20 Bias

1 -DSS
2 -Infraview
3 -GIMP
In that order (important to convert TIF's to PNG before using GIMP)

I will be posting Hi Res image onto Google+ soon.

Edit: added cropped version

Beautiful results Malcolm

The widefield really throws it 'out there in space'

In the close up attached (not linked) it looks like you used the Blur tool on the core. It looks smudged or out of focus compared to the rest of the image.
looking at my laptop screen downwards or sidewards shows it even more.

A very nice photo of Omega Centauri.

Great detail and nice subtle colours.

Thanks all, the wide-field looks the best, I may have over and over processed the cropped section. I will consider re-checking this later, been a bit busy today.
