Large lenses:

I have 10 Bi/Convex lenses and 6 Plano/Convex lenses for sale.
The Bi/convex lenses are made from Borosilicate and can be used in high temperature situations. They are 200mm (8") in diameter and have a focal length of around 300mm (12").
The Plano/Convex lenses are made from Soda/Lime Glass and are also 200mm in diameter and have a focal length of 1,100mm (44").
Selling the Bi/Convex lenses for $80.00 each, which is one sixth of their normal retail value! and the Plano/Convex for $40.00 each.
If someone wants to buy the whole lot, I can give another special price!

Cheers,

Glenn

Somewhat interesting Glen ?
I found this on a Wise Geek Page :
Borosilicate glass can handle both extreme heat and cold, making it very popular for laboratory glassware and other scientific instruments. It also has a reduced rate of thermal expansion, which can make it useful for things like telescopes and other high precision lenses where the surface of the lens must be very even for a clear image to be obtained.

This leaves me asking Where did these lenses come from and/or who in particular made them ?
Also would also like to know what they were oridginaly designed for ?
The Bi/convex sounds mighty fast !
