GStar-EX 4 Capture software and Orion Starshoot Deep Space Video Camera

Does the GStar-EX 4 Capture software v4.2.33 work with the Orion Starshoot Deep Space Video Camera?

In camera setup, the software detects Video Device - USB 28185 Device. When clicking on properties, the properties window appears then the mssage Run-time error '1033': Preview failed.

I am using the video capture device that came with the camera. Is it the capture device causing problems?

The camera works fine with the Orion AMCAP software.

Brendan, you may be experiencing a conflict between the Gstar software and the Orion software and Amcap.

Many of us with the Mallincam AstroVideo cameras are having software conflict problems at the moment with the Mallincam software and other software like Amcap, Deep Sky Imager etc.

There is much discussion going on in the Yahoo groups to try solve all this.

It's really annoying as many of us can't use the Video gear we have.
