Hi,

Just finished watching the doco about giant leaps in telescope tech, culminating with the Large Binocular Scope. I thought it contained fascinating stuff and great graphics, even though it had to skim quite a bit because of time constraints. It was only spoiled by the irritating Bang! Crash! Boom! sound effects they used.

Then had a look at the giant comet thing. I found it a disappointing stuffup of a potentially interesting subject. Each piece of special effects was shown again and again, and .....argh. I turned it off.

Now back to the speed of light doco.

Cheers

Do you know which season of the universe they are showing?
Season 6 is the newest. Episode 2 of season 6 explains why planet x is real
Elliptical orbit rotating once each 5,000 years.

LOL, they certainly had a bit of hype Geoff
I was listening more than watching most of the time, but I think they could have condensed it all down to 25% of the time it ran.

Exclamation Bump and update

Hi,

The show is back, same time on 7Mate at 10.30

But THIS TIME the episode is about Sex in Space !

Ladies, it might have Prof Pearlywhites...um, how can I say this.... featuring....um.....on screen...the mind boggles.

What spacesuit mods have been developed? Could there be a transparent suit like Jane Fonda? Will there be new standards for zero-g courting? Will they need a new type of booster rocket? What will astronaut training programs be like? Can the world watch, live?

These are serious questions. Watch and see.

Cheers
