Mars February 12th

Had a very relaxing night with the Synta 120mm achromatic refractor looking at doubles, Moon, Mars and Saturn Saturday night/Sunday Morning. Just for fun took an image of Mars with the DBK21AU04.AS, pretty much matched the visual appearance.

Thanks for looking.

Nice detailed view Richard. A RGB align may help to sharped the detail as there is a lot of red fringing at the top of Mars.

All the best.

Thought I would compare my image with what Stellarium predicted. Reasonable comparison. Not expecting great images given the scope is an achromatic, but still very pleased.

Thanks for looking.

I hope you don't mind me having a play with your data in CS3
Richard.
The Green was a bit high IMO, not sure why??
And the Red channel was a tad misaligned.
This is a great shot with your gear

No problem . I'm going to play around with the original video when I have a bit more spare time and see what I can come up with.

Hi Richard - that is a great result! You must have a super scope to get such visual details too!
