Yet more comet Lovejoy

Insomnia has its upsides...

I couldn't sleep thin morning, so went out to get more photos of Lovejoy.

Had to go even further towards Bendigo, this time ended up near Harcourt.

Nice site, didn't notice the overhead power lines until I looked at some of the images on the computer.

More images on my website http://tinyurl.com/ccw3sf2

Cheers
Stuart

That's amazing...
I haven't had a clear view of the comet yet but really enjoy viewing all the images on IIS
Though I had a strange showing on the ceiling this afternoon that I've never noticed before, could be lovejoy feeling sorry for me

Hi Stuart,

I like the framing of the comet with the Magellanic Clouds and Milky way. Beautiful stuff

Really pleased to see those great pictures. I was looking for the comet from Foster in South Gippsland from 3.30 AM. I really thought I had missed it, but I remember seeing that vertical plume superimposed on the Milky Way and wondering if that was it. I was expecting it to be more distinct, but it was only because it was not in a darker region.
Thanks Stuart.
