K5 Wide Field through trees

This is a wide field image taken with Pentax K5 with GPS module, 18-55 zoom lens set at 24mm f4.0, 2 min exposure. Thin cloud around which caused stars to flare a little.

Sometimes the cloud can actually enhance an image if subtle. I had a similar experience with Antares last year and was about to throw the image until I looked at it again and realised that the high cloud enhanced it a bit (imo anyway!)

Nice shot. Orion could have been a little more away from the tree but still nice.

Darrin...

Nice

Me too.

I like these type of widefields.

It has a real sense of remoteness to it.

Regards Paul.

Nice, I like it.

The diffusing effect of the cloud is perfect.

I would like Orion to be a little more away from the tree, maybe just 30mins later.
