Come on Petra, only 5 times! My personal tally is now 92 times for LOTR and about 50 for The Hobbit, which reminds me, must read again, only read it twice this year!

Thanks for the trailer link, how am I supposed to wait another year before I can see the movie, sheer torture. The LOTR trilogy was very well done despite a few shortcuts and I'm really looking forward to The Hobbit.

Umm Jeff...that is one year wait for Part 1 - An Unexpected Journey...two year wait for Part 2 - There and Back Again.

You gotta love Peter Jackson..he makes you wait but the wait is worth it..although what is keeping his movie remake of The Dam Busters.

While you're reading The Hobbit, highly recommend also reading "The Silmarillion" for a history of Middle Earth and it's races

Wow Barx.. I can't believe how many times you've read the books!
I'm sooooo excited about the hobbit!! It looks awesome! I just got extended blu ray of the LotR trilogy and I can't believe how long each movie is now!

SPOILER ALERT - Stop reading if you don't want to know how the hobbit ends!!

I'm kind of curious as to where they will end the first movie though. One of my friends said he heard that they would kill of Smaug in the first movie, but that would only leave the siege of the lonely mountain and the return journey for the second movie.. I suppose they could make the siege epically long, but that still seems odd to me. Has anyone heard any different?
