celestial object halos and reflections

hi all,

Has anyone with a meade 12" ACF (or anything else) noticed rings around bright objects when looking at them. The rings are not usualy like halos, but they are really crisp and clear, suround the object and typicaly cover about half the FOV?

I recently cleaned my optics and didnt notice this prior to cleaning, i will try cleaning the eyepieces again and see what happens.

Like i say, i have never seen this before, and so would like to know if its and aberation in the scope, thats why i ask has anyone else with this scope had this happen to them.

I will try using another eyepiece i havent cleaned to see what happens, and taking an image of the object and see if the "halos" and reflections show up.

thanks
Josh
