Friday was quite good apart from the Moon which initially limited my exposures to 200secs on NGC 253.
I also had to re-rig everything as fro some reason (damp?) the 450D refused to cooperate with the APT. Had to get my old 1000D out of retirement. Hence had no flats or flat darks ready but shot some darks that night. EXIF ranged from 15-17'c.
Took some of the Rosette but it is not really very bright with an unmodded camera. Quite dark actually even though I was doing 500 secs at ISO 800. Will add some data for this one I think before processing.
The other thing is I found processing Eta quite hard, I didn't really know what to emphasise as it was either very red or taken back to show the keyhole and retain star colours.
Fun night though. Is it me or is the Running Man nebula walking like an Egyptian?

Cheers for looking and any tips about processing gratefully accepted.
The other thing was this is the first time I have tried using layers in StarTools to get the core of M42 not blown out.
M42 exps were 180/240/120/15 secs at ISO 800.
