Pardalote hit my window!

This lovely little fella' hit my kitchen window as some friends and I were enjoying a Sunday food and wine session. My mate Tim heard the noise and said " I reckon a bird has just hit your window" , I looked down and saw this stunned mullet on it's back on the deck.
We righted him and and took some pics then left him alone. Took about 25 mins, then he flew off, seemingly intact.
I thought he was a forty spotted one (was very excited!) but I think he/she may be a juvenile spotted pardalote.
Still a little beauty though.
Graham

One lucky bird, my favourite as well. We've had a few fly in to our windows, usually they end up on the ground with broken necks.

Very good. I only get king parrots and eastern rosellas hitting my windows. They make a very big thud.

We had a Common Koel hit the loungeroom window last week. I heard the thud, and knew what it would be, so checked the swimming pool, where I found the culprit floating and stunned. I got in, fished him out, then left him alone on the deck. About 3 hours later it was getting dark, so I went to put him in a biggish box for the night, but he just hopped up and flew away.

A better outcome than last time, when I had to fish out a dead Kookaburra.

Cheers,
Jason.
