NGC3372 - diggin' out the dust

I was trying to bring out some detail of the obscuring dust that defines the familiar edge of the Eta Carina Nebula. I hope there are some glimpses of it in this image. Other processing brought out more of the detail in the Homunculus and the famous 'fickle finger' area which is lost in this verson. Perhaps I will learn how to do both one day but not yet. Sadly.

It is a 'quickie' of 3x20 minutes in S2,Ha,O3 last night with poor seeing. Hope someone likes it.
Peter

I think the colours are great.

Have you tried DDP? This usually lets you show the highlights and the shadows at the same time.
