Beautiful looking scope Steve - wish I had spare funds floating! Is it normal for such a large OTA to have a 1.25" visual back - or it that just a small back you had fitted over a larger one (if that makes sense).

Celestron supply the 1.25" visual back on all their OTA's from 6" to the 14" as a standard accessory. In fact, the visual back has the standard 2" SCT thread. Further to this, the 2" visual backplate can be removed to expose an even larger visual back with around a 3" thread for adapting larger focusers such as a Feather Touch. The photos show my 2" WO SCT diagonal and 2" TV eyepiece which look pretty small in relation to the OTA.

I forgot to mention that the OTA also comes with a genuine brand new Celestron 2" SCT star diagonal.

Yep, the OTA balances very well on the G11 using two 21lb and one 11lb c/weights. No issues with motor power at all.
