Two New Ones

Hi guys and gals,
Here are a couple of new images to share. First, replacing an old shot is a new version of M13 http://billionsandbillions.com/hercules.html Secondly, my rendition of- and there have been many nice ones, van den Bergh 152 http://billionsandbillions.com/vdb152.html Enjoy!

Best to you, Warren

Two terrific images Warren! I do take issue with your description of M13 as "second only to Omega Centauri" though. M13 is actually no better than 4th with 47 Tucanae and the Pavo globular NGC 6752 being clearly superior.

Cheers

Steve

Both great images Warren, I am really liking M13 and the few galaxies in the field that much I had to investigate further, very nice ! galaxy NGC 6207 I guess is the brighter one, lower left. The Glob is a dead of winter object for us here in Brisbane and rises to approx 26degs above the horizon, so it is on my 'To Do' list, for sure, Lol. Love the composition, A beauty capture ! yep , , Thanx for sharing !

Steve, forgive my 'land up over' ignorance. Except for Omega Cen, M13 is da best we got. :>)

Superb images Warren. I really enjoyed M13 and the field which also captures a few other distant members too as you have pointed out. It's all happening in that image!!

I think even M22 (mag 5.1 and 32') looks better than M13 (mag 5.8 but only 20') and that's in the southern hemisphere too
